C02 Fire Extinguishers
Carbon Dioxide extinguishers are filled with non-flammable carbon dioxide gas under extreme pressure.
Water Extinguishers
Recommended for Paper and Wood – Not Generally Suited for Electrical and Flammable Liquids
Foam Extinguishers
Used for Classes A & B fires. Foam spray extinguishers are not recommended for fires involving electricity.
Dry Chemical Extinguishers
Dry chemical fire extinguishers are by far the most common fire extinguishers in the home.
Wet Chemical Extinguishers
Wet Chemical (potassium acetate) is highly effective in extinguishing K class fires, particularly those found in deep, fat fryers.
Fire Blankets
A fire blanket is a safety device designed to extinguish small incipient fires. It consists of a sheet of fire retardant material which is placed over a fire in order to smother it.
